Cowboy U -- Arizona's Cowboy College

COWBOY U

It's Blazing Saddles meets City Slickers.  This is the story of the only place in the world that can turn a tenderfoot into a lasso twirling, bronco busting Cowboy.

Why wouldn't anyone want to be a cowboy?  Heck, low pay, hard work, bad food and lousy accommodations -- sign me up.  Many do.  The lure of the West is too strong to resist and ranches really do need cowboys.

To accommodate all those who have been bitten by the Hopalong Cassidy bug, Lloyd Bridwell started his Arizona Cowboy College.  Each year he graduates acc slew of wannabees and genuine working cowboys who flock to his week-long programs.

It's tough work that attracts stockbrokers, judges, lawyers, aspiring actors and some honest-to-goodness fledgling ranch hands.

Riding, roping, branding and sleeping under the stars have been the daily grind of cowboys since cattle ranching was introduced to this country.  Not only will we tag along with a group of neophytes but we'll also trace the history of the cowboy from vaquero to mythic hero and see how this larger than life figure is fairing in today's high tech world.

It's a rooting, tooting show full of rough riding and just plain fun that will be sure to rope the audience in.
