Prohibition spawned Chicago's brutal gangs and some would argue that current efforts to stamp out drugs have resulted in the growth of even more violence and corruption.
The damage being done to the neighborhoods of America, the justice systems in Columbia and Mexico and the lives being wasted as more young people crowd our prisons has led many to question whether the "War on Drugs" is really the right fight.
This 90 minute special would have tackled this controversial and important subject with a no-holds barred open attitude that is bound to get attention and maybe even help us all come to some conclusions about where we should go from here.
